Which Protein Brand Is The Best?

Assisting your training and recovery through supplementation has become widespread in recent years and has lead to the rapid uprising of what seems like millions of supplement companies, so the question on everyones lips is which brand is the best?

Now, we all know that is a minefield of a question and the real answer is IT DEPENDS! I'm aware that I've given a pretty wet answer there but it really does depend on #1 how much you are willing to pay, #2 what type of protein you are looking for, #3 whether you are looking for quantity or quality.

Only you can provide the answer to the three factors above but one thing I would urge you to ignore when deciding which brand of protein to buy is the advertising of the brands. The reason for saying this is because the vast majority of protein companies employee athletes and sexy celebs to 'endorse' their products, the sole purpose of this is to make you think that if you buy that brand of protein you'll end up looking like these athletes and celebs. Well, here's a shocker for you, THAT IS NOT THE CASE!

These athletes have been brought in to endorse a product once they have become absolutely stacked or once they have won a competition or become famous in the case of the celebs. The reality is that they have probably never used that protein brand prior to being paid to use it.

Quite often, many of the 'stacked' fitness models are taking a little more than your 'standard' supplements shall we say. Yes, I'm referring to roids! The fact of the matter is any supplement that claims to do anything which seems a little optimistic, it probably is!

My top tips when it comes to choosing a protein is #1 choose an established brand when possible, I personally favour USN or MyProtein, #2 know what your training goals are and buy your protein based on your goals, #3 Do your research before you buy anything, know the difference between whey and casein, isolates and all-in-ones.

But whatever brand of protein you buy please don't buy the clothing that the brand sell and then mince around the gym like you're a sponsored athlete as everyone knows your not and that you've just paid the company £30 in order to advertise for them!
